Before you can make any progress in overcoming your fear, it’ll be important to dispel the myths of flying and have confidence that, despite all your feelings, flying is normal. Although you may not believe me, it is NOT complicated or difficult to fly an airliner, and it is most definitely NOT in the hands of chance or the Gods. To overcome your worries about flying you must have a plan. We have suggested an action plan and strategy on this site.
Flying is safe because of the laws of physics and gravity. And because it is the most safety conscious and regulated form of travel available you should start to develop your confidence about it. Remember, flying is much safer than you think.
Remember that the fear of flying is a learned fear and therefore it can be unlearned. We can show you that those ‘what if’ thoughts can be understood and thrown away for ever. Remember that being able to understand the things that worry you, enables and empowers you to find your solutions to your fears. The fear of flying is not a weakness. Be content with small steps. And praise your achievements.

When you travel…
Let the airline know that you are an anxious flyer when you buy your ticket.
Eat lightly; salads and watery fruit are ideal.
Get good quality sleep before your flight.
Ideally sleep between 10 pm and 7 am local time in a dark, quiet room.
And when you are on board…have something to occupy yourself with.
